VSO Head & Neck Cancer Screening 

 

The Virginia Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck, Inc. provided a free screening for head and neck cancer at the Richmond International Raceway on Saturday, September 10th from 10 AM to 5 PM, prior to the NASCAR event that evening. The event allowed VSO members to raise awareness of head and neck cancer and its risks, as well as the role of otolaryngologists in the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancer. A total of 108 individuals were screened, and all provided with information regarding head and neck cancer risks, the role of the otolaryngologist - head and neck surgeon, and, if indicated, were given recommendations for further follow up or evaluation.
