all they can to protect your interests. We secured a lobbyist,
Cal Whitehead to keep us abreast of any issues or bills that came up
that effect our profession during the 2011 General Assembly. We
may be contacting you to ask for your help on this issues and perhaps
others. We need your help and support to deal with statewide
legislative and regulatory issues that affect your practices and your
patients' well-being. Please help us update our database so we can contact
you quickly and efficiently if needed.
YOU are the most valuable link to reaching
potential members. Please encourage your colleagues to become active
members in the Virginia Society of Otolaryngology. Need an
application? Visit our Web site: www.vso-hns.org or call Jane Davis,

vital to the VSO!

VSO Provides Free
Head & Neck Cancer Screening 9/10 at RIR
The Virginia Society of Otolaryngology - Head and
Neck, Inc. will provide a free Head and Neck Cancer Screening at the
Richmond International Raceway on Saturday, September 10th from 10
a.m. to 6 p.m. VSO is doing this to raise awareness of head and
neck cancer and its risks, as well as define the role of
otolaryngologists. This effort will also help our society's
effort to be recognized by the AAO-HNS Board of Governors as a Model
Society. Last year we received the Model Society Honorable
Mention Award for our volunteerism efforts. If you would like to join
your colleagues in this worthwhile community outreach and also
promote the profession of Otolaryngology, please contact Jane Davis
at jdavis@ramdocs.org or call 804/622-8135.
