It is with great pleasure that I announce the 2011 Virginia Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Annual Meeting!  The meeting will be held on May 20 - 21, 2011 at the Town Point Club in Norfolk, Virginia.  This year, the VSO Annual Meeting will combine its sessions with the Tidewater Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology Society (TO&O) Visiting Professor, Dr. Jonas Johnson.  Brent Senior, MD, of UNC Chapel Hill, NC, will review Sinusitis and ESS complications, Jonas Johnson, MD, University of Pittsburg, PA. will have presentations on continuing education and surgery in the chemoradiation era, and Milton Waner, MD of The Vascular Birthmark Institute of New York, will discuss birthmarks and facial nerve monitoring.  Cal Whitehead, VSO's Advocacy Consultant will give an update on legislative and practice issues that affect all of us.  In addition, there will be three panel discussions addressing Chronic Ear, Sinus and Head and Neck Surgery. Other exciting lectures will be featured during the conference as well. This event will also serve as an opportunity to meet other Otolaryngologists from around the state. Agenda

We will hold a cocktail reception and group dinner on Friday night where Dr. Jonas Johnson will also speak on continuing education and the challenge of remaining contemporary in the 21st century, so be sure to join us for the cocktail reception and dinner after the meeting on Friday!
